President Bola Tinubu has voiced concern over the alarming number of out-of-school children in Nigeria, emphasizing the need for urgent action. During a meeting with the National Working Committee (NWC) of the All Progressives’ Congress (APC) in Lagos, Tinubu Advocates Progressive of establishing more schools, hiring teachers, and providing daily meals for schoolchildren. He asserted that addressing this issue aligns with the progressive ideology aimed at combating poverty through job creation and ensuring quality education for all Nigerian children.
In a statement by his spokesman, Ajuri Ngelale, Tinubu Advocates Progressive and inclusive democracy, with a primary focus on poverty alleviation and quality education. He expressed support for the establishment of the National Institute of Progressive Studies by the APC, envisioning it as a platform for research and education on democratic principles and good governance.

Tinubu, committed to supporting a strong and ideologically-driven democracy, called for collaboration with various government arms. He commended the party’s leadership for promoting essential ideals and urged a focus on youth and women during the ongoing e-registration and digital membership validation exercise, slated for completion in the first quarter of 2024.
Reflecting on the Supreme Court’s affirmation of his presidency, Tinubu thanked party members for their unwavering support. While expressing regret for the limited gatherings due to the demands of his office, he affirmed his dedication to advancing the progressive ideological stance of the APC.
Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, the National Chairman of the APC, assured President Tinubu that the NWC is strategically planning for upcoming bye-elections in February 2024. Ganduje pledged to secure electoral victories and all available seats, with Tinubu’s consent and support. The President’s call for decisive action on education underscores a commitment to tackling a critical issue affecting the nation’s youth and future prosperity.
